ChattyWays is a .NET webservices chat application that demonstrates a simple, but very functional, implementation of webservices in ASp.NET as a chat app (with all of the IMVironments and emoticons that are "missing" from Yahoo and MSN Messenger.)
It also demonstrates a number of useful techniques in the areas of XML, Web Services, .NET that I think you will find helpful in your everyday application development.
